Are You Ready For HighEdWeb 2015?
The 2015 HighEdWeb Conference is next week and you won't want to miss sessions from OHO's Georgy Cohen and Jason Smith.
Our bags our packed and we’re all fired up for HighEdWeb next week. With so many awesome speakers slated for this year’s conference (ahem…Bill Nye! Scott Stratten!), Milwaukee is going to be the place to be October 5 – 7. And in case you missed it, we’re adding some awesome speakers to the lineup too.
Georgy Cohen
Georgy Cohen, OHO’s Associate Creative Directory, Content Strategy, will be keeping busy with multiple presentations during the conference. For starters, she’ll be presenting pre-conference at the Integrated Marketing Academy, an intensive program offering an interactive learning experience in a small group setting. Georgy’s talk on Managing Organizational Change for Integrated Communications will dive into how colleges and universities can take a collaborative approach in implementing a truly integrated communications process.
If you’re not attending the Integrated Marketing Academy, you can catch Georgy’s session on Building Internal Communities to Support Your Content Strategy on Tuesday from 11:45am – 12:30pm. Attendees will learn the value of organizing an internal community, strategies for launching and facilitating a content community, and best practices for making the community successful for both its members and the organization.
And if you just can’t get enough of Georgy, sign up for her Wednesday workshop on Effective Content Planning. In the workshop, attendees will learn how to plan digital content publishing and promotion across multiple channels, how tools like content matrices and editorial calendars can facilitate content planning for both short-term projects or ongoing publications, how to support an integrated communications strategy on the ground, how to integrate analytics into your content decision-making process, and how to wrangle the human resources (and goodwill) required to put a content plan into practice.
Jason Smith
Despite the major differences between higher ed and the corporate world, there are some marketing principles that higher ed must learn from corporate websites in order to succeed in the long-term. With prospective students ranking the website as the number one tool for research when selecting a school, higher ed websites must create digital marketing programs that power enrollments.
Join Jason Smith, Managing Director of OHO, on Tuesday from 2:00pm – 2:45pm for his session Popping the Higher Ed Digital Bubble – What Higher Ed Needs to Learn from Corporate Websites. His presentation will draw on examples from both successful higher education and corporate clients and provide a new framework for defining investment in your school’s website.
When it’s time to take a break, make sure you stop by the OHO table in the exhibit hall. We’ll have some great resources to share, as well as some other fun surprises in store.
See you in Milwaukee!
OHO is proud to be a Silver sponsor of the HighEdWeb Conference.
