Submission Deadline: May 5, 2021

Are you a Hero of Higher Ed? Have you rescued web pages from oblivion? Restored a brand to its original glory? Found ways to prove your ROI and were rewarded with additional budget because of it?

We want you to shine! Shed your shy, demure alter ego and let the hero inside out. It’s time to #humblebrag!

We know you have been heads-down, running from fire to fire for the last 13 months (at least) — but you have also been doing amazing work under exceptional circumstances. We’d like to give you time to shine.

Your Chance to Shine

We invite you to share one tip via a 5-minute lightning talk that has helped you in the past year and could help a fellow higher ed colleague. Think about one focused achievement that had a big impact; a problem you solved related to process, promotion strategy; or a workflow to obtain strong student/alumni outcome stories.

Here are some ideas:

•  How did you get out of the day-to-day firefighting to focus on bigger picture, strategic efforts?

•  How did you work smarter (tools, time management hacks, creating boundaries, keeping priorities focused)?

•  How did you become a champion for data-driven decisions?

•  How did you present results of you and/or your team’s efforts to senior leadership?

•  How did you build bridges between organizational silos?

Share Your Success – Help Others Become Heroes Too

In your submission, tell us how you were a hero, what the impact was, and tips you’d share for others to be a hero like you.

We are looking for 12 individuals to feature as our Heroes of Higher Ed at our 2021 OHO U Online Conference, which will take place weekly on Wednesday afternoons between June 9-30.

Submission deadline: May 5 at 11:59 pm.
